ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN ACTION - UNITED KINGDOM
ARTivism, Playful Pedagogy and Eco-Social Awareness
The Polish educational system stands out for integrating school outings (wycieczki szkolne) as a structural part of the curriculum. This course allows European teachers to learn, experiment and transfer methodologies based on contextualised, active and experiential learning. This course aims to contribute to the improvement of educational quality and pedagogical innovation in schools through the professional development of teachers in methodologies based on experiential learning. During the course “Warsaw as a living classroom: experiential learning, educational innovation and school outings in Polish pedagogy”, participants will develop a transfer plan that will allow them to adapt the methodologies observed to the context of their schools. This plan will include concrete proposals for the implementation of activities outside the classroom, dissemination strategies among the faculty and actions aimed at improving student participation and the educational quality of the center. The course is aligned with the priorities of the Erasmus programme, contributing to the professional development of teachers through pedagogical innovation, inclusion, active participation of students, sustainability and the strengthening of the European dimension of education.
